How to spot a suspicious or fake job advert
Practical checks that can protect your identity, money and personal information during a job search.

Check the advertiser
Visit the organisation’s official website independently and confirm that its name, domain and contact details match the advert. For registered UK companies, you can also check the public Companies House record.
Be cautious when communication moves immediately to a private messaging app, the email domain does not match the business, or the recruiter refuses to explain the role and selection process.
Never pay to apply
A genuine employer should not ask you to pay an application fee, buy equipment from a nominated seller, transfer money or share online-banking credentials. Do not provide passport, bank or National Insurance details before there is a legitimate reason and a verified recipient.
If something feels wrong, stop and verify it through a separate contact channel. Report suspicious Binu Jobs listings so they can be reviewed.
